Day 6 – Memphis, TN
House party!
First off, I’m pretty pissed at how difficult it is to upload videos on the road. You would think the internet is everywhere by now, right?
Anyway, sorry the videos aren’t really on time now. : x
So, this day started with us leaving Fayetteville early; the drive was about 5 hours to Memphis. We left our kisses and thanks to Chris’ brother and friends and got on the road as soon as we could after the most AWESOME breakfast burritos I’ve ever had.
After that it was on to Memphis and we all had a ball for sure! Thanks everyone who came out.

Day 4 – Little Rock, AR
Battle with tuna can, discovery of rice cooker and burritos, fun fun fun show, learned to love Little Rock.
First thing on the list was to re-stock food supply.
Wal-Mart. Picnic. Al sort of had a hard time.
Then to Little Rock. None of us had ever even spent time in Arkansas before.
After serving up some of the finest scratch burritos any of us had seen, on the downtown streets, we loaded in and checked out the venue.
Very welcoming, a community arts center with concerts in the basement. Everyone there was really nice, and all the kids came out and made it a real fun and comfy show.
Partied after. Chris Rehm provided most of the entertainment. Curled up on the most comfortable wooden floor I’ve ever slept on.
Please, no comments on the final clip of this video.
Happy New Years Eve! We’re in Fayetteville, AR playing tonight.

Day 3 – Ruston, LA
Shreveport canceled, plan B – party hard in Ruston.
That pretty much sums it up.
About 30 minutes outside of arriving in Shreveport, we received an unfortunate phone call explaining that because of a family emergency in the folks who ran the venue, the show that night had to be canceled.
Our first plan was just to hang out, maybe go see Natalie Portman in Black Swan, and get some Taco Bell.
However, Sean stepped up and made a quick connect to Ruston, where we were lined up to play for a house party in two hours.
We still got Taco Bell.
Then, headed for Ruston, about an hour away.
And really, some of the nicest people there! We had a blast, played quieter, but still really fun, sets, and slept on super comfy carpeted floors and sofas surrounded by cute kittens.
Little Rock, AR tonight!

Day 2 – Baton Rouge, LA
Broken window, short drive, kick ass show.
Abruptly awoken after a few hours’ sleep – “Why are the police calling me saying they found the trailer and it has been vandalized?”
That was weird. Anyway, we checked it out, cleaned up, and got it fixed relatively quickly. We still haven’t caught the bastards. Our first theory was Alex Hertz super-drunkenly needed cigarettes and just smashed the window instead of finding the elusive keys.
Or maybe Chris Rehm, where was he last night?
We got to Baton Rouge pretty much right on time, checking in at The Spanish Moon.
This would be our first time playing here, it is AWESOME. Especially the sound guy, really, he rules and it sounds amazing.
We played first out of 3, and (to be honest) played wayyy better than last night. We felt big love with the crowd and it all warmed up really quickly into a really awesome time.
Shoelace hit it next and brought the house down with some of the nastiest bass and rhymes I ever heard.Caddy closed out the night like you know they know how to do. Masters of destruction and beauty.
Much Love

Day 1 – Lafayette, LA
Where else would we pick to start this tour?
The day began with a packing frenzy. Tyler and Alex had just arrived back in New Orleans from their homes and families in Florida and Philly. In the chaos, we had a few close calls. We temporarily (an hour or so) believed our money safe to have been lost, but ultimately found it under the sofa. I also locked myself out of my house for a while as we were trying to leave.
Nevertheless, once on our way, it was all smooth sailing and sick parties.
We love Lafayette, and Artmosphere.
Did you know this is where we played our first show ever, back in September 2009?
Kidi Midi started off the night and hit it HARD. It felt like Andrew W. K. just busted in and lit the place on fire.
Our tour buddies and best buddies, Caddywhompus, took the stage next and made us look pretty bad.
Our set was filled with broken strings, straps, and cymbal stands, but I think we pulled it off. Everyone still got down really, really hard.
Maybe the best night we’ve ever had here.
However, some ominous notes:
- It’s cold as sh*t and we’re not even out of LA.
- This morning, someone busted the driver’s seat window of our car, we have to pay and get it fixed today.
We’re gonna be ok!
Baton Rouge tonight at the Spanish Moon,
I’ll be sendin’ all my lovin’.

Everybody’s Playing the Stylophone
First off, Merry Christmas! and what a Merry Christmas it certainly is, partly because I am now a proud owner of one of these fine instruments. Why? because my sister effin’ rules and she got me one for Christmas! that’s why!
As if Bowie playing one on space oddity wasn’t enough to convince you, you can check out the link below to see a video of my new stylophone taking a sharks’ teeth song into outer space.
I’d also like to add that we are leaving for tour in two days and inform you that I am outrageously excited/anxious/terrified/excited/don’twannabecold/SOEXCITED, i’m definitely gonna bring my new stylophone and don’t you go being surprised when we bust it out during our set! That’s right, anything can happen these next two weeks, i’m talking prison rodeos, mexican side projects, jumping motorcycles through hoops of fires, all sorts of illegal activity. anyway i’ve said too much, check out this video and maybe get one for your sibling next Christmas! and to anybody who will be at one of the shows the next few weeks I CAN’T WAIT TO BRO DOWN WITH YALL

Anniversary Tour Day 6 – Tuscaloosa, AL
End of the short road.
We were well on our way to being 3 hours-or-so early for this show, when someone spotted Pizza Kastle, and the daunting sign of “”$3.99 mini-golf + 10 free tokens”. We were trapped. The day wiped by and before we knew it we were rolling into Tuscaloosa an hour past load-in.
Luckily, the place and staff were super dooper chill, and actually didn’t mind at all. We even ended up stalling our start time because the crowd was coming in so late.
The set up was strange, being feet away from the bathroom and having toilet-bound friends brush by throughout the set. Nevertheless, it was a good time, especially late when the party crew showed up (see video).
The invite for a wild night in Tuscaloosa was out there, but, alas, our bodies were collectively too weary, too homesick, too partied out from the last week.
We hit the road at 3am, got to our homes at about 7 or 8am.
phew
